Happy New Year!! I hope 2023 brings you lots of love, laughter, health, and growth!
Now that we are starting a new year, you know what that means - new beginnings, new intentions, and a new you! So tell me, what is your New Year’s resolution? Type in the comments below and let me know!
Working on one’s fitness tends to be a popular resolution around this time. Is this usually one of yours? If so, would you say you’ve had success accomplishing them?
Many roadblocks occur when working on your health and fitness that can deter you from meeting your resolution. It’s important to note that your resolution is the overarching dream or life direction you want to take. Your goals are the small actionable steps that will help get you there.
To be successful, you need to ask yourself why you want to set this resolution in the first place. It needs to be for yourself and not stem from societal pressures. Define the reason within that motivates you so you can use it as the power to overcome any adversity you face along your journey.
Once you figure out your reasons, you can start creating your fitness goals for the new year. When making them, remember to keep them SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable/Accountable, Realistic, and Time-based). Take things one piece at a time. You might have a lot of energy this early on, but do not overexert yourself. You do not want to lose stamina during the process.
