Don’t be a grinch πŸ˜‰πŸ‘‰
Since the holidays are right around the corner, I thought anger would be an appropriate Oola Blocker to talk about. Why? Because while it is the most wonderful time of the year, let’s be real about the stress that can come with it. Whether we are on edge about seeing family members who have hurt us, anxious about giving gifts, worried about being in a crowded room, etc. there can be a lot of negative emotions that arise during the holidays.

Experiencing anger as a response is natural. Anger is an expression of fear and sadness and can be due to past traumatic experiences. But in this heightened state, we can subconsciously be waiting for something bad to happen. And when it does, we can lash out and even harm someone that was unsuspecting and undeserving of this behavior. Anger not only affects those who love you and surround themselves with you, but it also can lead to destructive problems and change the quality of your life.

So although we must sit with and understand our negative feelings and natural frustrations, we also need to learn how to manage them properlyDownload the PDF HERE for a helpful guide to controlling your anger, as well as tips on how to practice self-care over the holidays.
